Papa von Oldenburg is a stunning 18 month old black and red German Shepherd with a wonderful personality in addition to his exceptional looks. He is excellent with people and other dogs and has a more easygoing vibe, just not for kitties. (We will never understand how someone could abandon a dog like this, but we try not to judge as we don't know the circumstances.) Mid-energy Papa is a very manageable size and a joy on leash, heeling easily and coming to his handlers for attention. He wants do the right thing to please you, knows "Sit" and is treat-motivated. On and off-leash, he does very nicely around other dogs, avoiding problems and tending to mind his own business. If you are looking for an engaging and well-behaved new family member, Papa might be the one for you. He's ready to bring his wonderful spirit and good looks home
